On the morning of February 5, 2013, Chairman and vice chairman of the China National Tourism Administration Shao Qiwei, and Du Jiang paid a New Year's call to the cadres and workers of China Tourism Academy (CTA) and listened to the work report on tourism economy laboratory newly built by CTA. 

The head of tourism economy laboratory Dr. Tang Xiaoyun, on behalf of CTA, reported basic situation of project construction, hardware system and software platform construction, model research and development and demonstration system. While listening to the report, chairman Shao conducted in-depth discussion and exchanged with the researchers about laboratory foundational database, automatic analysis system of network data, global conference system, model research and development and demonstration systems. Dai Bin, President of CTA, delivered a special report to the leaders of CNTA about the background, objectives and progress of laboratory construction as well as the future planning.
