China Tourism Academy Postdoctoral Research Station Inaugurated in Beijing

On the morning of March, 18, a ceremony and work seminar was held in Beijing for the opening of CTA (China Tourism Academy) Postdoctoral Research Station. Chairman of CNTA (China National Tourism Administration) Shao Qiwei, Vice Chairman Du Jiang, Deputy Director of NPMCO (National Postdoctoral Management Committee Office) Liu Lianjun and other leaders attended the event and delivered speeches respectively.


Du Jiang offered his congratulations on the establishment of CTA Postdoctoral Research Station on behalf of CNTA. He pointed out in his speech that, tourism has entered national strategy system and become important parts of the people's normal life, and the achievement of the two strategic goals needs the strong support from high-level talents. He hoped that, led by NPMCO CTA could strengthen the cooperation with cooperative colleges and universities to build this precious platform well. During serving the industry, be close to industrial practice to cultivate more down-to-earth, high-end tourism talents. In terms of theoretical research, follow the leading edge of theory to cultivate more high-level tourism academic talents that conform to international style. In terms of talent training, encourage multidisciplinary and crossover integration.

Witnessed by leaders and experts who attended the meeting, Du Jiang and Liu Lianjun unveiled CTA Postdoctoral Research Station together.

During the workshop, after listening to CTA's development of scientific research as well as preparation and construction of thePostdoctoral Research Station, Zhao Qiwei suggested that, CTA should seriously research the central government's attention to tourism and related policy effects, and could set up research base overseas, so as to introduce research results into foreign universities and truly build world-class Chinese Think Tank.
