On the afternoon of August 29, in Beijing, CTA President Dai Bin met with Leonidas Rokanas, Ambassador of Greece in China.

President Dai Bin said that Greece was well-known and instantly recognizable for Chinese people, tourism cooperation between China and Greece had a bright future. As for the situation that the scale of Chinese tourists to Greece was relatively small, President Dai Bin observed it could mainly attribute to five aspects, including the number of the direct flights, the effect of Greece tourism promotion and marketing in China, Chinese tourists’ confidence in Greece economy, the convenience of visa for Chinese tourists, and the level of Chinese language service. He gave his suggestion that Greece government and tourism administration could propose the measures of improvement according to the afore-said aspects so as to attract more Chinese tourists.  

In the light of President Dai Bin’s analysis and suggestion, Ambassador Rokanas said Greece would seek the effective measures, strengthen purposive tourism promotion and marketing, improve the transportation service, facilitate the convenience of visa for Chinese tourists, and consequently promote steady and rapid tourism development in China and Greece.
