The Blue Book of China Tourism Economy (No. 12) Released Online

Online Achievement Announcement and Seminar was held on Feb. 20, 2020. About 120 guests attended the activity, including government representatives from the Ministry of Culture & Tourism and departments of tourism managements from Beijing, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Nanjing and Wenzhou, company representatives from Haichang Group, Caissa Tourism, CTG, China Telecom, Chinaums, Nanjing Tourism, Joyu, Creatoo, Byte Dance and JD, research institute representatives from Hubei University and Central China Normal University, as well as media representatives from Xinhua, People’s Daily, Culture Paper, and China Tourism News. Deputy President Dang Xiaoyun of China Tourism Academy host the meeting.

The theme of the activity is “Build up with solid foundation, Develop in high quality”. He Qiongfeng, Director of the Institute of Data Analysis of CTA released the Blue Book of China Tourism Economy (No. 12); Assistant Researcher Zhang Guiyi of the Institute, representing the Joint Lab of CTA and Shanghai Creatoo, released the “Report on Culture Consumption of the Second Half Year of 2019” , Product Manager Miao Liangliang of China Telecom Cloud Company, representing the Joint Lab of CTA and China Telecom released the Report of 2019 China Tourists Flow i, Product Manager of Chinaums Wang Tianqing, representing the Joint Lab of CTA and Chinaums, released the Report on 2019 Tourism Consumption Analysis. Prof. Ma Yong of Hubei University, Prof. Xie Shuangyu from Central China Normal University, General Manager Liu Huiyuan of CTG, CEO Chi Jiapei, Director Liu Xuefeng of Information Center of Chongqing Culture & Tourism Development CommitteeDeputy Researcher Liu Xiaohu of Yan’an Culture and Tourism Bureau, Deputy Director Zheng Aijuanof Beijing Yaniqng Culture & Tourism Bureau, Director Yang Jinsong of International Institute of CTA, Director Wu Fenglin of Planning & Leisure Institute, and Director Ma Yiliang of Institute of Statistics attended the discussion on “2020 Major Tourism Market Trend”. Vice President Li Qiuyan of Lvmama Group, Vice President Bao Jiahui of Shanghai Creatoo, President Li Changxia Haichang Culture & Tourism Research Institute, Department Manager Wang Yiding of Byte Dance, Senior Manager Xu Boxi of JD, Chairman Zhang Min of Hangzhou Bowu, Chief Strategy Researcher of CTA and Director of Institute of Policies and Research Song Ziqian, Director Yang Honghao of Industry Institute and Deputy Researcher Han Yuanjun of Strategy Institute attended the Discussion on “How to propel the high quality development of tourism industry with the application of technology and other new driving powers”.

Finally, President Dai Bin of CTA released the conclusion address on The Present Anti Covid-19 Situation and the Yearly Assignment of Tourism. He stated that the basic market environment for tourism economy hasn’t changed, and domestic tourism consumption is having a great potential to rebound. The basic trend of tourism economic development hasn’t changed, and the power for self-recovery and R &D is now gathering. The effect of policies are now emerging and industry mutual assistance and self-help are carried out among subjects in tourism market. Based on the comprehensive study and research on policies, supply side and demand side, the CTA anticipates that the tourism economy in 202 is not pessimistic but optimistic. Departments related to culture and tourism must put the the spirit of central economic meeting in practice, be stick to promote the high quality development of tourism industry, put forward the integration of culture and tourism, improve the system and ability in tourism management, reinforce the harmonious development of domestic  inbound, outbound tourism.
