From Feb. 8 to 9, CTA held a series of meetings, including the Party construction report and assessment meeting, the leadership assessment meeting, the 2021 work summary meeting and the 2022 work plan briefing meeting. The meetings were presided over by President Dai Bin, Secretary of the Party Branch and President of CTA, and the assessment team of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the leading group of CTA and all staff attended the meetings.

On the Party construction report and assessment meeting, President Dai Bin implemented the instructions of Party Group of the Ministry from the overall perspectives and based on the central theme; conveyed the requirements of Party construction, and held six theoretical learnings among the central force (expanded) throughout the year; promoted the research-oriented Party history learning on the basis the think tank and theories; enhanced the construction of the Party conduct and of an honest and clean government, considering the inspection, rectification and discipline suggestions; strictly focused on ideological education, referring to confidentiality, thought promotion and information exchange; reported the Party construction in 2021 in terms of standardization and institutionalization, with the “four strong” Party branch construction as the aim; analyzed the existing problems and causes, and proposed the improvement measures based on the 2022 work plan. He stressed, all Party members of CTA should earnestly study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and welcome the convening of the Party’s 20th National Congress; take Party construction as a guide for business, adhere to and identify our distinctive features, and accelerate the building of high-end think tanks guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; implement the basic systems such as “three meetings and one lesson” and pay attention to Party construction, discipline inspection and ideological work; strengthen the role of the Party branch, focus on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, enhance the research on the combination of tourism theory and Party construction, and organize the Party Day of learning and construction and the CTA doctoral group activities under the annual theme.

On the leadership assessment meeting, Xiao Jian, Deputy Director of Personnel Department of the Ministry, led the examination team to organize the democratic evaluation of the leading group. President Dai Bin, on behalf of the leading group of CTA, concluded the overall work in 2021 from seven aspects: 1. deep study and education of Party history and focus on Party construction, discipline inspection and ideological work; 2. construction of high-end think tanks and performance improvement; 3. theoretical research of contemporary tourism development; 4. breakthrough in the construction of data center; 5. construction of the modern tourism industry system and new ways of international communication and promotion; 6. the story of Chinese tourism; and 7. solid progress in administrative, personnel and financial work. He also shared the specific plans for the work in 2022. Vice Presidents Li Zhongguang and Tang Xiaoyun made the individual annual statement of duty respectively.

On the 2021 work summary meeting and the 2022 work plan briefing meeting, the heads of administrative departments, research institutes and senior professional staff reported on their personal duties and work of their departments in 2021, and raised the plans and expectations for 2022. President Dai Bin fully affirmed the efforts of each department and put forward clear requirements for the objectives and tasks in the future. He pointed out that, in 2022, under the instructions of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we will study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and the spirit of the Central Conference on Talents, actively follow the directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on tourism and talents and the spirit of the National Conference of Heads of Departments of Culture and Tourism, accelerate the development of various tasks in the “14th Five-Year Plan”, take “talent construction” as the theme of the year, stimulate innovation, and promote the construction of high-end think tanks, data center and high-level talents. Vice Presidents Li Zhongguang and Tang Xiaoyun put forward comments and requirements on the annual work of relevant departments based on their responsibilities.
