Working Talks between CTA and Cuban Embassy in China

On Jan. 24, President Dai Bin led a delegation to Cuban Embassy in China for working talks. Deep discussions are carried out regarding the hot topics such as the prospects and direction of cooperation between China and Cuba for tourism, among others.

Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernández, Ambassador of Cuba to China, expressed warm welcome to the delegation. He introduced Cuba’s actions and achievements in COVID-19 control, and the recovery of inbound tourism following the less strict constraint on international tourism. Cuba is preparing for Chinese tourists and expects their visit. He also expressed the willingness to continue the close cooperation with CTA in 2022.

President Dai Bin committed that CTA will actively promote the cooperation between the two sides in talent exchange, data exchange and event holding under the signed MOU framework, and exchanged opinions with Ambassador Hernández regarding the detailed cooperation in the future.

Participants from CTA include Director Yang Jinsong and Doctor Yang Liqiong from International Institute (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Research Institute), Doctor Liu Xiangyan and Postdoctor Li Yin. Participants from Cuban Embassy include Juan Alberto Kelly, Cuban Economic and Commercial Counsellor in China, Igor Monter, Cuban Minister Counsellor to China, Carmen Yanez, First Secretary of Cultural Section, Yohanely Savigne Chacon, Cuban Economic and Commercial Commissioner in China (responsible for tourism affairs), Sirenia Cires, Economic and Business Specialist, Lisbet Diaz, Third Secretary, and interpreter Fei Lisha.
