Tourism Talent Development Symposium and Report Release Conference

On the afternoon of Apr. 21, CTA held the Tourism Talent Development Symposium and Report Release Conference in Beijing. Participants include the representatives from the relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, units with tourism talent development cases, series report research team, etc., and President Dai Bin attended the event. The Tourism Talent Development Report Release Conference was held online.

Relevant responsible and specialized personnel of the departments and offices were invited to the Tourism Talent Development Symposium, to learn the Spirit of the Talent Working Conferences respectively held by the Central Government and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, listen to the opinions and suggestions of talent cultivation and employing units, and discuss the key tasks of tourism talent development and the main measures for youth talent cultivation. On the Symposium, Zhao Hongqing, Director of the Talent Division of the Personnel Department, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, conveyed the spirit of the national teleconference on culture and tourism talents. Liu Dongyan, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Education, Song Wei, Deputy Director of Department of Political and Legal Affairs, Li Liusan, President of Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage, Song Lei, Deputy Director of China Institute of Art Science and Technology, and Liu Ping, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of Supervisory Board of China Culture and Media Group, respectively delivered a speech on the Symposium. Vice President Tang Xiaoyun from CTA presided over the Symposium. Representatives from the academic committee, branch academy, research base, sub-center of Data Center, project base, joint laboratory and observation station also attended the Symposium.

The Tourism Talent Development Report Release Conference was hosted by Song Ziqian, Chief Researcher and Director of the Institute of Policy and Science of CTA.

Dr. Hou Pingping from the Institute of Industry Research of CTA released the “Tourism Talent Cultivation Innovation Cases” on behalf of the research team. Based on the results of thematic collection and targeted research, the research team released the cases of talent cultivation in China’s tourism industry since the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC.

Li Jian, Secretary General of Beijing Tourist Guide Association, Bai Fan, General Manager of Beijing Tourism Group Co., Ltd., Yao Yanbo, Deputy Dean of Tourism and Service College, Nankai University, Zhang Hongmei, Vice President of Shanghai Tourism College, Shi Da, Dean of Surrey International Institute, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Bai Jie, Vice President of Sichuan Tourism College, Zeng Xiaoli, Party Secretary and Principal of Guangdong Tourism Vocational and Technical School, Jiang Qian, Director of Tourism Service and Management Department, Taijiang County Secondary Vocational School, Wang Miao, Associate Professor of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Liu Ning, Chief Operating Officer of Jinjiang Tourism, Yang Yang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Spring Travel Service Co., Ltd., and Yang Xiulong, Chairman of Beijing Parade and CEO of South Beauty, respectively delivered a speech.

President Dai Bin took a group photo with the representatives of “10+2” classic cases and “15+1” innovative cases of tourism talent cultivation.

Dr. Li Yong from the Institute of Industry Research of CTA released the “Tourism Talent Demand Forecast Report” on behalf on the research team. Based on the special survey and targeted interview, the research team released the demand forecast of tourism talents in the next five years.

Dr. Cao Yang from the Institute of Policy and Science of CTA released the “China Tourism Talent Development Report” (1949-2021) on behalf of the research team.
