On May 20, “International Seminar on Renowned Cultural Tourism Cities” was held on Minglun Campus of Henan University. Vice Chancellor of Henan University Zhang Baoming, Vice Mayor of Kaifeng Sun Xiaohong, Deputy Director General of Henan Tourism Administration Zhu Jianwei addressed the seminar. CTA President Dai Bin and Liu Zhen, Vice Chairman of the Kaifeng Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Director of Kaifeng Tourism Commission delivered keynote speeches.

President Dai Bin noted in his speech titled Cultural Tourism Should Face the Present, World and Future that the history must be studied and passed on. Furthermore, it should be visible and tangible with good quality for local citizens and tourists to experience. Only tourism projects that touch people’s hearts enjoy lasting vitality. He proposed that in future strategic planning of cultural tourism cities, the power of capital must be valued to give an active role to business players, role of science and technology must be emphasized and that inclusive innovation must be done based on respect for differences.

At the seminar, CTA signed a tri-party strategic cooperation agreement with Kaifeng Municipal People’s Government and Henan University. The three parties will enhance cooperation in international assessment of famous cultural tourism cities, studies about cultural tourism policy and development strategy, strong cultural tourism enterprise cultivation, quality evaluation of tourism service, tourism big data sharing, high-end talents cultivation and joint organization of cultural tourism industrial summit.
