Dai Bin, President of CTA, conducted field research and exchange in Macao

At the invitation of relevant departments and institutions and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), visited Macao for research and exchange on March 16 to 19, 2022.

During his stay in Macao, Dai Bin met with the principals of the administrative departments of the Macao SAR government, including Lei Wai Nong, Secretary for Economy and Finance, Zhang Zuowen, Director of the Policy Research and Regional Development Bureau, and Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office. He also met with heads of tourism institutions and universities, including Dr. Fanny Vong, President of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, Alex Mok, President of the Board of Directors of the Macao Institute of Management, Tong Kai Chung, President of the Macao Institute of Management, Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Macao University of Science and Technology, as well as the principals of Macao Management Association and China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd. During the meetings, the participants had an in-depth and full exchange of views on such topics as the construction of the world tourism and leisure center, the impact of the pandemic on Macao's tourism economy, tourism exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Macao, the construction of think tanks, academic research and talent training.

In the morning of March 18, Dai Bin delivered a commemorative speech at the Macau University of Science and Technology, entitled "China's perspective and international expression of the world tourism and leisure center".
